Point of Women Inc. will be holding a market on Sunday November 3rd 9a.m. – 2p.m at Clarence Point Hall. Sunset Blvd. Clarence Point.

Point of Women is keen to hear from makers and producers in the Tamar valley who would like to have a stall at this event. We value our loyal stall holders who have been with us from the start and would also welcome new ones.

This market offers an opportunity to purchase high quality goods, make an early start on the Christmas shopping, catch up with friends and enjoy good food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

If you are an interested stall holder please phone

This year Point of Women funded three $1000 scholarships.
One scholarship went to UTAS student Hannah Reeve (studying Bachelor of Arts in Hobart). The second one was awarded to Tafe Tas student Leonie Goodyer studying Certificate 111 in Children’s services. Erin Worth received the third one and she is enrolled in (Diploma of Community Service) at Tafe Tas. These three women are meritorious recipients and are very committed to their communities in various ways.

The members of POW raise the funds for these scholarships by coordinating markets at the Clarence Point Hall twice a year.

Members are committed to the project and sincerely hope the money will assist the students in their studies by easing financial pressures. Rural students have the additional issue of extra transport costs and are often balancing family commitments and child care costs so they can attend lectures and practical placements.
The scholarships are available annually to both male and female students who reside in the 7270 /7275 post code area.
